Air "Autry"

Here's Eric flying high in a game last weekend. I promise this photo is not "doctored". It's courtesy of our team Dad, Doug Smith. Believe it or not, there were no injuries from this move either.

Recently, Liverpool Futbol Club U-18's came across the pond and held a training night for Eric's team. Eric was thrilled to be called "Crouchie" (Peter Crouch) by one of the players. Later that night we got online to look at pics of Crouch and read about him, only to find that he indeed could pass for an adult version of Eric! Not only is he tall like Eric will likely be, but when he was younger, he shared the same jersey number that Eric has had his entire career - #24! Here's a photo of Crouch:

NOTHIN' BUT NET

We just wrapped up another fun basketball season for Eric! His team didn't fare too well in the play-offs, but he did get a triple-double on one of his games. Don't ask me what that is, I'm just quoting his dad :) He also made the all-star team at the end of the season! Here's his highlight reel I had fun making...

Game ON!

Soccer season is in full swing these days around our house! Here's some of Eric's follies (that's what I like to call the action pics) over the last couple of weekends. It almost looks like he's got a problem with sticking his tongue out of his mouth when he's getting serious about the game. That may come back to bite him one of the days. This action shot is funny. Looks like he's trying to kick the ball up and catch it with his hands. Get up Eric! This isn't the pros!! Photos courtesy of Doug Smith, one of our talented soccer Dads.

WAITING ON BECKHAM....

A long day made longer...Eric had an action packed summer Saturday and was looking forward all week to the perfect nightcap of watching the MLS debut of his beloved Beckham with his Dad. I doubt Beckham's ankle injury was affecting his body last night as much as Eric's activities were affecting him staying awake for the brief showing! After swimming twice, riding his scooter, playing with his neighbor friends outside, and taking in a pick-up style soccer game with some adult Haitians at the park he was a little worse for the wear. He's actually awake in this pic, he's only "resting his eyes". I bet there were hundreds of little boys across the nation in the same predicament last night. LONG LIVE THE MLS!
