Lone Star Angel

Here's my latest art piece I am calling "Lone Star Angel". This is an original by ME done in acrylics. I painted it for our Texas themed sunroom and I plan to do a companion angel for her. You just don't find a lot of Texas decor out here in Georgia ;)

Gene Autry

Here's a window frame I painted a few years ago - a tribute to our distant cousin, Gene Autry. Again, it's very folk styled. I painted it from the back side of the glass and then came back in and outlined it in black from the front. Then, spray painted the entire back with the creme color for a background. This one hangs in our Texas room, which I'll show in the home tour later.

The Mr. & Mrs.

Here are two more little fun paintings I have done. The top one is "The Mr." and the bottom is "The Mrs."

And here is where they live, on the breakfast room wall. As you can see, I'm a starving artist and that is why none of the paintings have frames yet! LOL!

Art Debut

Meet "Brie". She is my interpretation of Lowell Herrero's "Surrounded By Sunflowers". I love his work and certainly can't afford the real thing, so I decided to just paint one for myself. This is my first acrylic painting on stretched canvas. I know whimsical folk art is not for everyone, but I am sweet on this style right now.

This is where "Brie" lives. Since the Autrys are from France, we decided to decorate the dining room in a French country theme.

I also paint watercolours and I am currently working on designing this year's Christmas Card. Y'all tell me what you think! I would love the feedback.
