Okay folks, let this serve as your open invitation to come and visit us here in the southern comfort of Georgia! We've 'purtied' up this guest room for all of our family and friends to enjoy. There's so much to see and do here, not to mention having the delightful company of yours truly! With Stone Mountain, The Georgia Aquarium, The Braves' Baseball, North Georgia Mountains, lakes and waterfalls, and headquarters for CNN and Coca-Cola there's something here for everyone. So, ya'll come, ya hear?!

Lisa, that bedroom looks so inviting and was so comfee when papa and I was there Christmas..I remember the new house shoes sitting at the foot of that bed waiting for us...just the right size too! That bed sure felt good that night.
Wow! I love the colors. The pillow cases and window valances are very cute. I love the yellow and pink on the walls. Cozy indeed.
Do you guys remember when you first moved to Georgia and you sent "new house" announcements? They were inviting enough to make George Sr. ask if you'd opened a bed and breakfast inn! This room would do any fancy B&B proud!
Thanks Audrey, the pillow cases and valances are actually pieces of an 70 year old quilt that my adopted great grandmother made. This quilt was beginning to wear and get holes, so I decided to do the unthinkable and cut it and sew cases and valances out of it. It's okay to do that, quilters back then were offended if you didn't USE the quilts. Keeping them folded up in a closet for years just isn't what they inteded ;)---Lisa
I thought they had a non-store bought look to them! I'm so glad you found a new home for the wonderful quilt. I have a quilt like that too. It was formerly the "Dream Blanket." It was nice and cuddly and made everything feel better. But it's become VERY ragged. I've had an idea for it, but I just can't bear to cut it. I guess I should take your example and just go for it.
would you welcome an old friend from K-Town you've known since k/garten?? You remember me as Mike Frazier...I go by the moniker of "Chad" now and would love to reconnect. You guys looked great on your wedding day. Hey, if you reaffirm your vows,you now have a friend who will do your hair and makeup!! I am a cosmetologist in the Fabulous sense!!
