Art Debut

Meet "Brie". She is my interpretation of Lowell Herrero's "Surrounded By Sunflowers". I love his work and certainly can't afford the real thing, so I decided to just paint one for myself. This is my first acrylic painting on stretched canvas. I know whimsical folk art is not for everyone, but I am sweet on this style right now.

This is where "Brie" lives. Since the Autrys are from France, we decided to decorate the dining room in a French country theme.

I also paint watercolours and I am currently working on designing this year's Christmas Card. Y'all tell me what you think! I would love the feedback.

Thanks guys. Or gals :)

Lori, I can't seem to get your blogspot to open for me, am I doing something wrong?--Lisa

There is nothing on it - yet. Trish is going to help me get it started, but so far - I am too shy. Sounds crazy, huh?

Don't feel bad, I'm not very computer friendly either. I still have questions about how to do things such as just getting a pic of me on my comment window! I try and read the FAQ's for blogger and it's like reading greek to me! LOL! Anyway, don't be shy--I'm looking foward to getting to know you better --even if we are 5 states apart! ;)

So happy to get to know you better too. I love French Country also.
My Dining Room/Kitchen is done in French Country. My colors are black, tan, off white, burgundy. I have art by Kimberly Poloson - Rise-n-Shine (Rooster) and Bel Bouquet II. In my sunroom I have sunflowers and the blue & yellow scheme.

Wow! That's really amazing. You should give us a virtual tour of your home! eh eh?? *waggles eyebrows* We've seen your oh so adorable guest room, how about showing us the rest of your French Country dining room.

I think I'm going to work on home-made Christmas cards this year too. We should swap. =)
